Abstract: Molybdenum heterogeneity in euxinic …

In ancient sedimentary systems, high molybdenum (Mo) enrichments are associated with strong euxinic conditions. Molybdenum isotopes (δ98Mo) have been used as a paleo-redox proxy for more than two decades. Within sulfidic waters, MoO 4 2− can undergo thiolation: Sulfur (S) replaces molecular oxygen (O) to form thiomolybdate species (MoO x S(4 ...

molybdenum transport and precipitation are still poorly known. To fill this gap and provide insight into the formation of Collision-type porphyry Mo deposit, we performed high pressure experiments to systematically quantify the role of CO 2 on the solubility of molybdenum-bearing phases. Molybdenite was placed together with a single-phase H 2 O ...

Alloy Design for Powder Bed Fusion

Abstract Molybdenum components manufactured using Powder Bed Fusion-Laser Beam (PBF-LB) currently cannot achieve the mechanical properties and quality of powder-metallurgically produced parts. This is a result of the process characteristics of steep thermal gradients and high solidification rates in PBF-LB, which promote the development of a ...

Character and Origin of Climax-Type Molybdenum Deposits

Abstract. Porphyry molybdenum deposits are spatially, temporally, and genetically associated with porphyritic intrusions of quartz monzonite to high silica, alkali-rich granite composition. Most molybdenum is in quartz-molybdenite veinlets that are part of an intrusion-centered stockwork of veinlets. Associated minerals are pyrite and fluorite.
