Fray Milling machine rebuild
I too had never heard of a Fray before I bought this one. Ran lots of turret mills from B'port, to Tree, Supermax, Alliant, Wells Index, Excello, Lagun, and others which I cannot remember the names. In the advertising literature Frays were called "all angle" machines. Mine is the #7 which is pictured at the bottom of the page on Tony's site.

This milling machine head is different than described. Either there were other models of the "B" or important components were removed. Mine is #231. The information is that, it is a MT#3 head but mine is B&S #7 and the equivalent MT #2 were sold. The problem comes to the motor mounting some decades later.

About 90% or more of the machine is in excellent shape. One small divot in the table, no discernible wear on the screws, very good paint, etc. However there are "issues".
