I decided to go ahead and send it back to Myford in England to have it repaired, rather than take a chance on repairs here. The Myford people were very nice to deal with. Excellent service (but expensive). The toolholder that came with mine uses 5/16th inch tooling for correct center height adjustment.

As far as I know, and from reading the policy, the Myford is not a "cheap chinese" machine. In fact, they are rather expensive, and made in England. Maybe the guidelines should include a weight restriction, too. For example, if the machine weighs less than 2500 lbs, for example, the thread gets locked and/or deleted, LOL!
